Total Hip Replacement

Paul T. Freudigman, MD performs total hip replacements.   During total hip replacement surgery, your damaged hip joint is replaced with an artificial joint (called a prosthesis). This surgery almost always reduces joint pain and improves your quality of life. The team at BSW Orthopedic Specialists - Waxahachie will evaluate each patient to determine their needs for a total hip replacement.  If it is determined that a total hip replacement is the best option the physicians will guide each patient through the surgery process.

Total Knee Replacement

A total knee replacement is necessary for patients who have severe arthritis or have injured their knee and it has become significantly difficult to perform tasks such as walking and climbing.  Patients may even feel pain while sitting.  Dr. Freudigman performs total knee replacements that are less invasive than a typical total knee replacement.

Hip and Knee Revision

BSW Orthopedic Specialists - Waxahachie specializes in hip and knee revision surgery to replace problematic joints from a previous replacement surgery. Most joint replacement surgeries are successful and last the lifetime of the patient. Occasionally, however, a prosthetic knee or hip joint may need to be replaced. This can be due to the joint loosening over time, infection, dislocation, or other patient-related factors.

Non-Union and Mal-Union

A malunion is a broken (fractured) bone that has healed in an unacceptable position that causes significant impairment. A nonunion is a fracture that has failed to heal after several months.    Learn More
